Great stopping point for me along I80 east parking and friendly staff. I always time my trace to hit sparks for breakfast going east or west.
The breakfasts are big servings so I take a to go with me on the road to finish later

I'm visiting from Tennessee and this restaurant was on my list that I had to visit. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Glorified Country Gravy Biscuit Benedicts, and my husband had the 1/2 pound ham steak and eggs. Food came out quickly and it was perfection. Our server was very sweet and attentive. I'm so glad we came here today ☺️

We came here on a Saturday morning around 10am. It was pretty busy and full, but we got seated right away for a family of 5. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I have nothing bad to say about the staff at all. I love how the staff work well together to get people in and out so there isn’t a long wait time. Every dish is about $15 to $20. The portion sizes are pretty big. You can easily split each plate between 2 people. I loved everything about this place. The only thing I wish they would work on is how they fast they got the food to the table. My food was a little cold already by the time I got it. This is my only complaint. The atmosphere and everything else was great.

My food came quick but I left just as quick. The service staff was pleasant and polite. My food was cooked well even if it was a little plain and I finished my left overs next day. Quite honestly it was the dining room that chased me out of there. The seats are small and hard and the booths are so small that I wouldn't ask someone to meet me here. There isn't any natural division so you're only option is to stare down at your phone to avoid staring back at the 10 people facing opposite to you. Don't get me wrong I'll be ordering to go again but I don't think I'd eat inside again. The downtown location is great for eating in though.

Alright, so I've been sitting on this review for a bit because, honestly, Pegs has been part of my life since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Back when the only spot in town was downtown, where my dad and I would have our special bonding time. But here's the deal - after our latest family brunch, I'm thinking we might need to say our goodbyes.

First off, $4 for a drip coffee? That's highway robbery! And $7 for orange juice? Come on, that's just setting fire to money. Our breakfast for three came out to $82, and let me tell you, the value just isn't there anymore.

Pegs, you've been good to me, but with prices like these, you're making it real hard to keep the nostalgia alive. Time to find new breakfast haunts where my wallet doesn't cry.

Our favorite place for breakfast. Tried the Chile Relleno (sub rice for hash browns). Yum! Cooked perfectly because it has crunch and not soggy.
