Spoke'n'Boot Camping Pods - Falkirk

Myself and a friend stayed a night in a pod each at Sandra and Stuarts pods site halfway through our cycle of the John Muir Way. The site was super handy for the John Muir Way, walking trails, the canal, shops, restaurants and takeaways but also in a quiet secluded location. Sandra was mega helpful as she let us store some luggage there beforehand so we could travel light and let me collect them again a few days later. She also gave me an extra pillow, hairdryer and some comfy camping chairs and offered to get us food so we didn't need to cycle down the road. We ended up ordering a take away through Just Eat that was delivered though. Sandra also got us a grapefruit for breakfast and kindly got us a bottle of schloer. Their Byre is super cosy and great if you need to refrigerate or cook something as there is a hob and microwave. The toilets and showers were immaculate. We both slept well and would like to return on another adventure! We highly recommend staying here - Sandra, Stuart and Dexter the dog were lovely!

A warm welcome, plentiful breakfast and many extra kindnesses at this lovely haven within easy reach of the Falkirk Wheel. Facilities are clean and well-maintained, the shared kitchen and sitting room in the Byre was a great place to meet other guests or just relax, and the camping pods were great - surprisingly comfortable camp beds! Sandra and Stuart have clearly worked hard to create such a lovely, unpretentious place to stay.

I stayed here as a last minute booking instead of camping when rain was forecast. Sandra and Stuart were some of the friendliest hosts I’ve met.

Lovely place. Sandra and Stuart are very attentive and friendly. The camping pods are basic but comfortable, they are beautiful. The common facilities are very good.
I was the first to arrive at this place by paddle board. They fixed up a bike they had for me so I could visit the Kelpies. Stuart helped me carry my things back to the canal.

We had a lovely stay here, soaking up the fantastic views out to the Campsies across the Firth. We were lucky with the weather so were able to take advantage of the nearby bike hire and cycle trails and Stuart helped us with a firepit and bbq in the evening. Sandra and Stuart were lovely accommodating hosts and the pods were great value. We spent the evening playing board games in the cosy Byre.

I led a group of female cyclists from Women on Wheels (Cycling Charity Glasgow) on a weekend tour to Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We stayed at Spoke n Boot for one night in their pods. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate our little group. The facilities are great. There is a communal area where we cooked and ate. There's a fireplace to keep us warm. We even had a fire outside. The pods were lovely, and Sandra was the most welcome host.

Of all places I've stayed in Scotland so far, Spoke 'n Boot was my absolute favorite! Perfect little place to rest your weary legs after a long hike or to camp out with family! The hosts are two absolute gems of people, wish I'd stayed longer than a single night!

I stayed here on my walk from John O'Groats to Lands End. It was raining so hard and I was not looking forward to camping. I saw Spoke'n'Boot and booked. It was brilliant, I was really looked after, which after being on your own for a while was much appreciated. The fire was on and I could dry my clothes. The kitchen and showers were great and had everything I needed. The camping pod was cosy and I had a really good night's sleep. It's about a 25 min walk from the Falkirk Wheel. Highly recommend ?
