This review is for two employees of the Kohls store in Thousand Oaks, CA. I had an Amazon return to do today 10/16/24 and then a little shopping to do.
Once I finished shopping and got back to my house I realized I had lost the hat I had worn into the store. Couldn’t locate it in my car or anywhere at home. I called Kohls to inquire if it had been turned in to Lost and Found. An employee by the name of Eliazar answered the phone. He asked how he could help me and I told him I needed to talk to the customer service desk and explained my lost hat situation. He very politely said he would go back to lost and found to check for me .
Shortly he returned to the phone and said he found it there. I was relieved and I asked if he could put a note on it that I will be in to pick it up. He said yes I can do that. I drove down to the store and the lady at customer service found my hat. Eliazar had kept his word and placed a note on the hat for me .
While I was at customer service Carter the employee who helped me with my Amazon return earlier was leaving for the day. He saw me there and told me he was the one who turned my hat in to lost and found. He said he tried to catch me but couldn’t locate me to give me the hat.
Carter is a very polite, thoughtful employee.
I would like to give a 5 star review for Eliazar and Carter for their excellent customer service. In addition I do not know the name of the lady at customer service but she was also polite , friendly and helpful. It was about 6:30 pm I think. She had a smile on her face as she tried to locate the hat. My thanks to her as well.

i really hate this place, the last time i bought something here it was when i was 15 , 10 years ago. Basically i HAD to go today and return some amazon stuff and the kid at the amazon returns around 3 was just so rude, no hi no nothing he had a face of disgust. Im not sure why there is always bad customer service here.

I went to buy at this place for an elderly person . She provided me with her details for the store. Upon checking the person uncharged refused to scan my phone. I mean we live in the digital era and a name brand doesn't has the software to do it. If simple things are lacking that means they are much worst in the entire store. One of the worst in California.

Kohl’s has been our goto place for discount clothing and household items. Every now & then, it will give discount coupons via app account, mail, or email in addition to Kohl’s cash based on purchased total amount.
The interior of the store is bright and clean. All displays are in neatly ordered and welcoming.
There is also Amazon item-return-drop-off counter manned by Amazon personnel situated right in front of the Kohl’s on line order pickup bins.
Kohl’s personnel are well trained and very helpful.
Parking lot has Tesla super chargers on site

Let me start off by saying that every time I go into this location, l am ignored and I feel that I have eyes on me throughout my entire visit. Employees walk past us and say nothing. No greeting or anything. My mom and I were at Sephora and we NEVER were asked if we needed assistance. I’m Hispanic and I’m not sure if it’s about race but as soon as a white customer walked in she was greeted by one of the associates. We were standing by the register trying to find a perfume and the associate at the register completely ignored us. Then I was standing by the sales end cap and another employee walked by me and said nothing to me. The only person who greeted us was the cashier when we were about to leave. She spoke Spanish and I asked her what was the name of the store manager. I called and a male answered and I told him about the experience we had and the conversation got nowhere. I told him that if this continued, I would take it to the higher up. We are not thieves and if we don’t dress up to their liking, oh well. That doesn’t mean we don’t have money. I can’t even look around comfortably because I am being watched but not greeted. I have many years of retail experience and I have been trained to not hover over the customer because they end up feeling like they are being watched. If you want to watch me, do it in the office (if you’re not already doing that) let me shop in peace!
