We had Julie run a Virtual Think Like and Engineer Camp for our Daisy Troop. It was fabulous! We did two 1 1/2 hour sessions where the troop built a Fairy House, Bridge, and Puff Mobile. The girls absolutely loved it! They were encouraged to try new things, use new materials, and persevere through challenging projects. Julie was amazing! She completely engaged with the girls and was excellent at communicating details both before and after the event. You will not be disappointed!

Julie ran an amazing crane program for a Zoom Cub Scout meeting. She was incredibly engaging and held the interest of kindergarten students to 4th graders. She empowered them with the framework on engineering design and scientific method and let them design and explore their own ideas. She also gave them each time to share their blueprints and finished projects. It was wonderful to see the creativity and variety between all the Scouts. It was a terrific program!

Our second grade Brownie Troop had a great time working on their Triple Engineering Badge with Julie of The Challenge Island of Rockland and Bergen. We met at a local library and the girls worked on three STEM activities that involved building a mobile, a pirate ship and a sling shot. All activities were based on excerpts from well known books and the girls were enthralled. The activities were fun and challenging but definitely age appropriate. In addition, Julie provided all the materials, led the meeting and took care of all the details. I highly recommend! Our experience exceeded all expectations.

Cannot say enough good things about Julie and Challenge Island! We hosted a series of programs this summer, and each one was well-run, interesting and educational. Julie was very communicative and showed up early each time to make sure set-up went smoothly. She handled the group of kids ranging in ages from 6-10 so well and really got them interested in all of the activities and working together. I would highly recommend Challenge Island and plan to partner with them again on future programs!
