This is an AMAZING experience for the amateur light and moderately experienced cyclist. Take a guided tour all the way to the local summit and have a beautiful lunch. Then glide down all the way back.

It may seem daunting to do 13 miles roundtrip, but our 9year old did it no problem.

The owners are your guides and are the nicest people ever. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to slow down and really absorb the beauty of Italy, the vineyards, and the landscape.

Will recommend to anyone going to Italy!

Cadenza cycles is a great bike shop on the outskirts of Greve. Leif and Michelle were so helpful and friendly when my gears stopped working halfway through a cycling tour of Tuscany.
Leif changed my cable and when that didn't sort out the problem he worked hard to fix my shifter. Unfortunately it was "kaput" and I had to ride (with 2 gears) into Florence to get one.
It was lovely to spend some time chatting to Michelle and comparing our cycling experiences as fairly late adopters to female cycling.
In addition to bike repairs and hire Cadenza sell lots of lovely cycling kit.
I was very tempted buy but as we were doing a self supported panniers trip and still had a few hills to climb I didn't want to make my panniers any heavier!
Cadenza cycles is definitely worth a visit if you are cycling in the Greve/Florence area.

Highly recommend! We rented a few bikes (one road and one e bike road) this summer and not only did they recommend a great route, but one of the owners rode with us for a little bit and showed us around. Really really nice folks. They also had great restaurant recommendations. Can’t say enough about what nice and helpful people they are.

Leif and his team are amazing. I race competitevely and was in the region for vacation and structures training. I needed some replacement parts and Cadenza Cycles had everything I needed. The service is the best I’ve seen. Quick, efficient and they even delivered a spare part I needed. 10/10

Located right inside the northern entrance of Greve in Chianti, Cadenza Cycles is the newest bike shop in the area and a quick stop on your way through Greve. Come in for a coffee or grab a pizza from the shop next door that shares a patio.

Cadenza Cycles is a full service bike shop with a growing selection of bikes and clothing as well, which is harder to find around these parts.

It is run by Leif and Michelle Karlsson, two very friendly transplants to Tuscany. You can receive service in Italian, English and Swedish.

Michelle has a strong interest in growing women's cycling in Tuscany, including riding groups and bringing in clothing brands made by and for women for a fit that actually works. If you're a woman riding in the area, it's well worth a stop to speak with her.

In addition to the shop, they also run a bike and wine tour company (Vino & Velo www.vino-velo.com), so you can arrange with them for some trips. Leif is a sommelier and can show you some of the best cantinas in Tuscany.

Leif and Michelle were the absolute best! We came in from the U.S. and Leif connected my friend and I up with some solid road bikes and gave us great advice on some local area rides. Check out their branded cycle jerseys. Leif's wife Michelle has designed some beautiful kits and must for any kit stash. Thank you Leif and Michelle for making our time in Greve very special.

I went to the shop on my way through Greve in Chianti and was greeted with big smiles and the warmest hospitality! Not only were all of my biking needs met, but Michele also offered me a coffee and an enthusiastic chat about biking. An absolutely lovely American couple who have been living in Italy for many years, it was a true pleasure to have my needs met and since they own a bike guiding company, with the lovely warmth I was greeted with, I would recommend them to any friend wanting a guided bike tour without hesitation. They truly made my visit to Greve in Chianti a memorable one! 😊
