I love this store. As soon as a walk in it cheers me up. The customer service is AMAZING! The value and pricing is unparalleled! Been a member and loyal client for many years but was inspired by my last experience there. I rented out snowboarding gear for the entire family and made some major purchases this past weekend (a the Stonestown Mall in SF). I never walk out of there stressed or suffering from buyer’s remorse. And Mike (older gentleman) in the Ski/Snowboard dept was excellent! He helped multiple people including myself hear molding our boots for the upcoming season. What a great knowledgeable pro! Always multi tasking with a smile. All the employees (rental dept, cashiers and the security guard)… there are awesome!! I wish I got all there names. Bravo Sport Basement!

Workers in bike department and ski department were very helpful. Bike department workers fixed a derailleur problem on my bike, looked everything else over. Ski department workers did a good job with ski boot fitting, finding the right boot fit for me.

Took my snowboards there for basic maintenance. Staffs were very nice and friendly. Tech was very knowledgeable. Boards were done a day ahead. The tech even threw in to wax my wife's board when notified me for pick up. Only thing is I noticed that there were still some rust left on my board, but can't complain since it was a simple edge and wax. Recommended.

Brought in a new pair of skis (still wrapped in plastic) for mounting. They scratched my skis.

Update on Nov 30th:
They sent me a gift cards for an apologies. I feel better with their attempts and efforts to make it right. But pls be careful the next time ?

Had the best experience at Sports Basement with excellent help from Nick, Marion, and Poli. Every single one of these people were enthusiastic and extremely passionate when I came to look to buy a new snowboard. They took great care of me. A+++

I went in to get some binding calibrations the night before I went skiing. Poli, the technician, was about to go on break but got it done within 15 minutes. Went skiing and had no problems at all. Stellar job and loved the service and staff.

The team at the Ski Shop was great! Enthusiastic, happy to help, and efficient getting through the busy lines the week of Christmas. Got my new skis and bindings mounted and a hand wax, all done same day so I can go carve the slopes tomorrow!

Did you know that SB has Thule vehicle rooftop boxes for rent? Super convenient when you just need it for a few days and don’t want to buy one just for a trip. (I was considering renting off someone from Craigslist but was so worried they would flake!) Thankful they rent Thule’s out here. Also how could you not love the pre-loved section! Those kids pants are $8!

BUT most of all, I appreciate how helpful the staff are. The guy who greets right at the cash registers makes you feel so welcome upon entering, and the lady that helped us with our snowboard rental equipment ensured our boots/boards were the perfect fit! Especially appreciate RICH who runs the show and is always willing to go above and beyond! Good customer service in retail is hard to come by nowadays, but this team at Stonestown is TOP NOTCH!
