I left two pairs of high-performance skis for service here and paid €120, which was on the more expensive side, but I was led to believe that the service, especially the edge sharpening, would be highly professional.

I picked up these skis the next day and found the edges not sharp at all. The edges did not grip too well. The service was overpriced and of low quality, which was very disappointing.

The following day, I took these skis for service at another place - perhaps a large international sports chain. I paid around €70 in total for both pairs, and the results were much better. The edges were actually sharp, enabling nice carving in icy conditions.

I am leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because the owner was very nice and made the process of choosing the edge angle quite a unique experience.

Vielen Dank für die Ehrlichkeit weil ein anderer größerer Anbieter für Skiservice hätte uns nämlich zwei neue Paar Ski verkauft und der gute Mann hat sie einfach repariert.

My wife and I skied one week in Val Gardena. The icy red and black slopes made it difficult to handle the ski’s properly. We decided to sharpen the ski’s and came, at random, in this service center because it was on the route from Ortisei to Selva Wolkenstein. The owner informed me what was wrong with our ski’s, especially mine. I had not sharpened my ski’s for 5 years and ski every year one month. He never saw such round edges he informed me. The (Atomic) skis of my wife were also not really good although they are only 3 years. He worked on my skies and my wife's for half an hour in a very professional way. I paid in the end euro 80 for both skis, but it was a lot of work, using the sharpening machine. Back on the slopes at Selva Wolkenstein, it was a delight to find grip on the slopes. We are both glad I went to that shop. The man is a real professional and will show you what he has to do to improve the ski’s. In our case that was a lot. If it is just routine waxing and sharpening, his price is the same as most ski service centers. It was worth it!
